So I have already started sweating while outside. While I am not complaining, I do wonder about how hot is going to get this summer with it this hot the first of May. 

My daylillies are just gorgeous this year.  I have never been good at gardening, but I think in my older age my thumb may be getting a little greener.   That or I am really turning into my mother.  Either way, I have been excited this spring to plant flowers and watch them grow.  It is just another reflection of God's beauty.

This past weekend was the first golf tournament of the year.  Larry and I played with Kelley Love in the Filly Tournament in Nashville.  We had a fun time but didn't play well enough to get in the money.  Kelley was not up to par because of allergies and Larry and I didn't have an excuse.  We shot 8 under and 6 under for the weekend.  That did not cut it in the Championship Flight. 

The weather was nice, the course was in great shape, and Tracie was there as our cheerleader.  But hey, we can't win them all can we?

Jane and I played in a 2 Lady Tournament this week in Shreveport.  It was a one day tournament at Southern Trace Country Club.  I thought that we played pretty good and scored well enough, we just got flighted in the wrong flight. So, needless to say, we did not get in the money either.  But we did come home with a new pair of Calloway golf shoes.  I was digging that!! And the course was beautiful. 

Sadie signed up for the golf team this year.  They start this summer.  She is excited about it and has been out a couple of evenings this week practicing.  I'm telling you, with a little work this kid could be really good.  No, I have not been pushing her to play golf.  This is something that she decided on her own.  She doesn't love it like I love it, but she does like to go out and play from time to time.  She has her own set of clubs and shoes.  She's ready, she just needs some practice.  I feel like this will either make golf or break golf for her.
