This past
weekend, Larry and I celebrated our anniversary. Two years have passed since the day we got married, but I feel like we have been together forever. Maybe it's because alot of things have happened in the past two years, or maybe it's because my cup runneth over. Regardless, I truly feel blessed and I look forward to many more years to celebrate together.
Larry planned a mini vacation in honor of our anniversary. We went to Hot Springs Village with the Witheringtons and the Tates. We played golf at a different golf course each day. We rented a three bedroom house that was really-really nice. They courses were beautiful and the weather was HOT.
While on our weekend get-a-way, the kids stayed with MeMe, which is like a vacation for them every time. Sophie's birthday is coming up, so they had a little surprise party for her. She loves birthdays, parties, balloons, presents, and cake, so she was very proud of her party.
She told me all about it and was so excited about it even though she got sick the next day and felt awful!!
Spencer stayed and played all weekend too, which makes everything better for Sophie. Those girls truly truly love one another. They may as well be joined at the hip. They love spending time together and are inseparable when they are together.
Sadie got to do her baking, which she loves to do and always does when she goes to MeMe's. She also got to drive MeMe around some. She is becoming a little woman and this weekend mother nature presented her a present too for Sophie's birthday. However, Sadie wasn't as impressed with hers. Sadie and I have been calling it the "Red Fairy." I really don't know why except that we have been expecting it any time and the Tooth Fairy has been by so frequently that the two ran together.
She did pass her driving test this week though. She wasn't as nervous and she didn't violate any traffic regulations, so she has officially passed that hurdle.
Molly...I don't know what to say about Molly. I am assuming that she had a good weekend because she now says MeMeMeMeMe constantly.
I know that my mother enjoys the time that she has with them because she doesn't get to see them on a regular basis, but I really felt bad for her this weekend. Sophie got sick with a sore throat and fever and Molly wouldn't take a nap because she was out of her routine and away from her bed. So to sum it up, she had a whiny baby, a sick child, and a menstrual teenager all weekend. That's a load for anyone!! Lord, bless her sanity and help her recover so they can go back for another visit.
