The Fourth of July has come and gone. I really take my freedom for granted most of the time. It's just something that I don't think about not having. I am thankful for my freedom every day, even when I don't think about it specifically.

We watched the fireworks at the park from Lee's house after a cookout.  It was a great fireworks show!!! Then first thing the next morning we went to Glenwood to the Caddo River and rented some canoes. Sadly, We didn't think Molly would make the trip this young, so we took her to Mrs. Verna's. We missed her and will definitely do it again. Maybe she can go.

Larry and Sophie rode together. Sophie was the navigator and only paddled when Dad told her to. She didn't know why everyone else was so tired.

Sadie was my navigator. We didn't do as well as Dad and Sophie. We couldn't row straight. We went from one side of the river to the other. Sometimes even going backwards.

Maybe it was because we haven't done this before. Maybe it was because I was laughing the whole time. Maybe it was because I was too busy trying to take pictures. Maybe we are just not good at canoeing.

But Sadie and I didn't tip over OR fall out of the boat like somebody else in our party did.

I won't mention any names.

We had a really good time!! We will surely do this again.

Looks like so much fun. Wish I were brave enough to go canoeing...

Kayaking is the way to go. So much better than canoeing. Jamie says I'm mean when I'm in a canoe. LOL Well, we didn't turn over.

I'm glad you all had a good time. Floating the caddo is awesome.
