Another one for the books:

Ella came back to visit this year. Sophie loves loves loves Ella, but this year Molly REALLY got into Ella being here. Sophie was spending the night with a friend. This is an important part of the story because Sophie is the protector of Ella. You can not touch Ella or she will lose her magical powers. So Sophie guards her closely making sure Molly doesn't touch her. It helps the temptation that Ella "lights" or "lands" in very high places. 

Well this particular day she landed on the refrigerator so she could watch closely. Apparently Larry closed the refrigerator door too hard and Ella came flying down to the floor. I didn't see the flight or the landing because I was in the laundry room. 

All I heard was Larry yelling, "DO TOUCH IT!" over and over. I came running in there expecting to see something awful, horrific, scary. I found Larry hovering over Ella in the kitchen floor baracading Molly from touching her. Her had me stand by to guard the scene while he got some tongs to pick her up and gently place her back on top of the refrigerator. 

His plan must have worked. Ella left that night and returned by the next morning. We didn't tell Sophie about this tragic accident. Surprisingly Molly didn't either.
