I was impressed with the whole class and the work they put into all of their projects. Sadie did a mobile using items from the book, a board game that she created that went along with the book, an alphabet book that had a glossary of terms from the book, an obituary from one of the characters from the book, and a song list with lyrics of songs that relate to the book. As usual, her teacher bragged on her and it made me very proud of her.
The girls were excited about Christmas coming up, but more excited about being out of school I think. I waited again until the last minute to do my Christmas shopping. Some day I will be more organized and be ahead of the game. I'm pretty sure it will cause less stress.
I went to Sophie's school Christmas party. She loves loves her teachers, Mrs. Hughes and Mrs. Copeland. Anna Claire is in her home room this year. Sophie also invited Sadie to her party. I was surprised that Sadie actually came. Sadie had the day off from school because she had no semester tests and the party was at 830 am. When Sophie is 16 she will understand how huge this is.
Molly got her first haircut over Christmas break. Well...her first professional hair cut. She absolutely loved it! She thought she was a big girl and was being pampered.
Especially when Mrs. Amy curled her hair afterwards.
We also did some bell ringing again for the Salvation Army. Sophie was still at MeMe's, so Molly took her place. She did quite well. After she saw people putting money in the bucket, she would ring her bell loudly and say, "Money Money Money!"
