So a couple of weekends ago we went bowling.  Sadie had to work and didn't get to go.  She pretended that she was sad, but I know she really just didn't go to work.

But we all got dressed and headed to Texarkana.  We are all so tired of the wet cold yucky weather that keeps us inside.  Larry planned this day for us so we would have something to look forward to and something different to do.

First, we went to Chili's to eat lunch.

The girls love Chili's because they have a Kiosk at the table that they can play games on.  It is way more futuristic than crayons and a piece of paper. They also love cheese sticks.

Then we went bowling.

It was completely packed. I'm not sure that all the lanes were in use, but there were about three too many birthday parties going on in there.

Luckily they put us on the very end.  It was better than if it would have been in the middle of all that stuff going on.

The first round was pretty fun.  We found the lightest ball we could for Molly.  It was blue and she loved it.

She wasn't fond of anyone helping her, but it took her a few times to get everything figured out.

We she rolled her ball by herself, because she wanted to do it by herself, it would take forever to get down the lane.  I mean, you could probably eat a cheeseburger and fries before it made it down there.
But she was excited just the same.

Larry and I also bowled.  We are very competitive always.  I was beating him so he let Molly take his turn on the last frame.  I guess so he would have an excuse if I did in fact beat him.

Which I did.

Then we decided to play another round.

The new wore off and Molly got mad when Sophie used her blue ball and the arguing and bickering began.

When we left I gave the speech on the way home about appreciation, taking turns, sharing, being sisters, and being thankful for getting to do things.

I don't know that Sophie or Molly just LOVED the bowling.  But it was nice to get out of the house and do something together.  Even if it meant the arguing and bickering because they do that at home too.

But we will probably wait until they are a little older before we try bowling again.  Hurry up summer time!!
