I can't handle this!!!

We did a weekend celebration because she is gone today on her birthday.  She is a church camp.  She was a little betwixted on that decision.  She signed up and was soooo excited about camp, until she found out it the week of her birthday.  She didn't want to be gone away from home on her birthday so she said she didn't want to go.  I sure wasn't going to make her.  Then she decided the week before that she really did want to go, so we packed her stuff and she is left on Monday.  

Saturday we floated the river and Sunday after church we had cake and presents. 

I haven't gotten to talk to her yet today, but I did get pictures sent to me this morning.  She got called up on stage with two other boys whose birthdays were today too.  They did a happy birthday song and dance for them.  I can imagine the embarrassment and excitement that she was feeling just by looking at these pictures.

She doesn't like to be the center of attention like this because she is a little shy.  But I am glad that she got recognized and I hope it made her day special.

Here is proof that she is growing up on me.  Can't believe she is 10 years old and not with me on her birthday.  It makes me sad in a way.  I want to hug her tight right now!!  I love her big!
