This is what Sadie looks like through the peep hole of my hotel room door.  I told her she resembled a cute little poodle.

This is the first New Year's Day I have ever spent in Memphis.  Sadie was up and gone to practice again early that morning before the parade.  They didn't get a break and they had lunch delivered to them at rehearsal.

So Larry and I went to Beale Street early so that we could eat lunch and find us a spot on the parade route.

Gumbo it was for me (for the second day in a row.)  You can't beat gumbo.  Besides, everything about Beale Street reminds me of New Orleans.

We met up with the other parents and ate lunch and then we were all excited when we got this!

It was the first picture we had gotten of all of the girls together.  And the first picture of the uniforms on the girls.

We hated that the colors ended up being K-State colors.  But the colors and uniforms were picked before the teams were announced that were playing in the Liberty Bowl.
So, I hashtagged everything #scrapperpurple.

Waiting on the parade took forever.  Both sides of the streets were packed.  It was cold.  But the sun was shining and the atmosphere was grand.

It was a bigger parade than the ones we have at home. LOL

There were all those bands that participated too.

Then we finally saw our girls.

What a neat experience for Sadie.

I was so proud for her and so proud of her.

We met them back at the hotel.

Took a few pictures....even Larry with a pom pom,

and warmed up a little.

Then we went to our rooms to get ready for the next adventure.

We went to a BBQ dinner and dance.  The girls learned a new line dance and showed off a new dance that they had learned from a famous choreographer, whose name I can't remember.
