These girls look like outlaws.
We left straight from Grandma Geri's and drove a couple of miles.
Then we were in the mountains and kicking up dust.
I think the girls enjoyed it. I know I really enjoyed it. I don't know if I could do it every day like Arizona people do, but it would be a fun weekend activity for me for sure.
We went on the beginner trails. I know there is so much more out there to see.
The thing that blew me away was how beautiful Arizona is. I had always pictured the desert in my mind as blah. Dirt. Dead. Ugly. Flat.
I was amazed at the beauty!!
It was spring and they had rain lately that they don't always have, but I had no idea.
We all loved the cactus and the different varieties of cactus.
This next picture could be my favorite picture of the whole trip.
We would ride for a while, then stop and explore for a while.
One was just as fun as the other to me.
We went to the side of one mountain and they took us to an old Chinese graveyard. There were several small graves randomly scattered on the side of the mountain. It was neat to see and brought up so many questions in my head.
There were also old mines on some of the mountains. It was cool to see those and how they were made in the middle of nowhere.
It was alot to take in for me. I was trying to absorb as much as I could.
We stopped and had a little picnic. I ate really fast so I could explore some more.
There was a ranch out there in the middle of nowhere. Grandma Geri said they had been there one time and saw a whole herd of wild horses running through. I wondered how they got back and forth to town. The only electricity they had was solar powered.
It was pretty awesome.
Then we switched seating arrangements and Sadie and I drove Grandma Geri and Micheal's side by side.
I was a little nervous at first but it was super fun.
We went through some smaller trails.
It was a little rougher ride, but so beautiful.
Then they took us by the boob cactus.
Molly loved it!
I was more impressed with the pretty wild flowers blooming everywhere.
