This year is different. We have been going at least three days a week. Sometimes all of us go. Sometimes Sadie has to work. Sometimes Larry and I go by ourselves while the girls are at the pool.
We have found some good ponds and have caught lots and lots of fish.
We never keep any. We just go for fun.
Maybe one day we should keep them and let the girls clean them and fry them up for dinner. (Except Sophie won't eat fish.) We may have to bring her home a turtle or something.
One of my favorite things about fishing is that you don't have to get dressed up. It doesn't matter if your hair is fixed or not.
I doesn't matter if you just roll out of bed on a Saturday morning. It doesn't matter if your clothes match or if you are cute as a bug. It just doesn't matter.
The swimming pool is still a favorite. Sophie and Molly think they have to go every single day. Sadie has to go every single day. She is the only life guard and has to cover it all by herself.
Sophie and Molly just wouldn't want her to be all alone down there. I'm sure they go just for their sister.
Sadie is also giving swimming lessons this year. She is a broke college girl just trying to earn some money for school. She has done it a couple of weeks already. The kids really seem to love her and she is really helping them.
Sadie has been cooking the girls a real breakfast most mornings. Somedays it is pancakes. Somedays it is eggs and toast. She tries to switch it up some depending on what we have at home.
They need their strength...... so we can go....fishing!!
