SWEET 16

Happy Birthday Sadie!!

A little bit about Sadie......
Sadie is one of a kind.  She is very responsible and dependable.  Sadie is a procrastinator.  She is loved by all little kids and aggravates her sisters.
She is thoughtful and sentimental, but makes fun of me when I cry.
She is a mentor.
She was once a very picky eater.  She loves now loves food, and hates sloppy joes.
Sadie is a fighter.  She is determined and works hard toward her goals.  She is beautiful.  Sadie loves music and hates to clean her room.  She is a good student.
Sadie is wise beyond her years and has always been very mature for her age.  She also has her blond moments and laughs at them harder than she should.
Sadie is a dreamer.
Sadie is what every mother dreams of for a daughter.
She is a thinker and a very good writer; and her cell phone is attached invisibly to her somewhere.
She is a pack rat.  She always got in trouble at school for talking, which turned out to be a wonderful personality trait:  She is very social and outgoing.
Sadie is not a follower of people.  She has a mind of her own.
She is a believer and a wonderful disciple.  She loves seeing Christ work through people.  Sadie sees the good in people and has always had a wide range of friendships.
Sadie is honest.
She loves to dress up, but she doesn't have to get dressed up all the time.
She loves fried pickles and hates chocolate.
Sadie is determined, but has a hard time making a personal decision.
Sadie loves being the center of attention.  She is a good speaker and a good performer.
I don't know what I would do without Sadie.  I love her more than words can describe.

It just seems so unreal to me that Sadie is sixteen years old.  I feel like she ought to still be about five.  I swear, I think I am having more trouble with her turning 16 than I did when I turned 40.  Wow!  Just these pictures alone break my heart.  The years are just speeding by.
I wish I could stop time for a little while.  It's going too fast!!!

I am so crying here. I mean sniffling full blown crying. I love you so much that you have raised this PRECIOUS PRECIOUS beautiful daughter. I am so proud of her but mostly, proud of you for being so strong and showing her God and being the best mother to her. No doubt God created you two for cheach cother (as Dylan would say) - amazing! I am so proud to call you my best friend ever. EVER!! Every daughter wants to hear those words, especially from their mother. Happy Birthday Sadie Rae! (Make sure she checks the mail!)
